Not general builders, pros only
We provide turnkey solutions
Older Velux windows lose performance over time. Seals harden, glazing mists over, flashing degrades and the sash becomes stiff, leading to heat loss, condensation, draughts and eventually leaks.
Arbor Skylights replaces Velux windows across London, including Shepherd’s Bush, Notting Hill and Kensington. Because Velux roof windows are designed to be installed from inside, most replacements fit the existing opening with no change to your roof, no scaffolding and very little mess.
Whether your Velux is leaking, misted, hard to operate or simply no longer right for the room, we’ll recommend a replacement that improves comfort, efficiency and appearance for years to come.
We know the old 3-digit sizes, the current letter-and-number codes and the discontinued models in between.
New flashing and insulation collars go in with every replacement, protecting against water ingress for the long term.
We look at the existing window, the room and how you use it before recommending like-for-like or an upgrade.
Internal replacement keeps cost, time and disruption down. Clear communication, a confirmed date and a straightforward replacement process.
Modern Velux windows insulate better, operate more smoothly and are built to last.
Ageing or damaged Velux windows replaced with modern equivalents in the existing opening.
Swap pre-2000s Velux windows for current models with far better insulation and glazing.
Failed windows replaced with new flashing and seals so the leak doesn't come back.
Triple glazing, noise-reducing and solar-control glass for comfort in every season.
Replace manual windows with VELUX INTEGRA® electric or solar models that close automatically when it rains.
Several roof windows replaced in one visit for a consistent finish throughout the home.
Arbor Skylights provides professional Velux window replacement across London, helping homeowners upgrade older roof windows in areas including Hammersmith, Shepherd’s Bush and Notting Hill. Every replacement is fitted with the correct flashing, insulation and internal finish.
Over time, roof windows become less efficient as seals age, components wear and glazing technology moves on. Replacing them improves insulation, reduces maintenance and refreshes the room, without significant structural work.
Modern Velux replacements bring better thermal performance, smoother operation and updated designs that suit both period and modern homes. Blinds, shutters and electric operation can be added at the same time.
We identify your existing window from its data plate, confirm the right replacement and send a fixed quote. From first contact to handover, we provide a professional Velux replacement service across West London, including Ealing, Chiswick, Kensington and Maida Vale.
How to find your Velux size: Open the window and look at the data plate on the top of the frame. It shows a size code such as CK02, MK04, MK06, PK08 or SK06 on newer windows, or a 3-digit code such as 104, 206 or 308 on older ones. Send us a photo and we can usually quote straight away.

Arbor Skylights was set up for one reason. Most homeowners who need a new skylight or a replacement Velux end up with a general builder, for whom roof windows are a small side job. That is where leaks, poor flashing and rough internal finishes come from.
We took the opposite approach. Skylights, Velux roof windows and flat roof windows are our only trade. Our installers have more than 35 years’ experience and have fitted more than 200k windows across London, from Victorian terraces with narrow staircases to modern flat-roof extensions.
The name says what we care about. An arbor is a shaded space in a garden; we open it to the sky. Every project starts with the same question: how do we bring the most daylight into this room, without ever letting the weather in?
Common signs are misting between the panes, leaks, draughts, a damaged frame or a sash that is hard to open and close.
Yes, in most cases. Velux roof windows are designed for internal installation, so a like-for-like replacement can usually be done from inside the room without scaffolding.
Usually, yes. Velux uses standard sizes, so a replacement can be matched to your existing opening from the data plate.
The price depends on the window size, model and any upgrades such as electric operation or blinds. Like-for-like replacements from inside are the most affordable. We give a fixed price from a photo of the data plate.
Open the window and check the data plate on the top of the frame. It shows a size code, for example MK04 or SK06 on newer models, or a number such as 206 on older ones.
Sometimes. If the window is under 15 to 20 years old and only one part has failed, a repair or new glazing unit may be enough. Older windows with misting, leaks or rot are usually better value to replace.
Yes. Many homeowners replace several roof windows in one visit for a consistent look and better overall performance.
